![]() I use Lightroom, which allows me to title, keyword, GPS tag and search my images. Unless "Photo Supreme" is to become a raw developer that can rival the performance of Lightroom, I can see no reason to use it. The later editions also support new camera models, so those of us with newer cameras have updated for the enhanced camera support, although within a release number those increments are free. If you cannot see "substantial features" differences between LR3 and LR5 then you're not getting much out of the program. ![]() The LR Develop module was completely overhauled between LR3 and LR4, so much so that I never bought Lightroom until v4, the earlier versions being worse than the develop software I was already using. I cannot se any point in comparing a raw development program (Lightroom) with a DAM program, since they do completely different things, although I find the DAM element of Lightroom to be completely suitable for my requirements. Their V4 and V5 releases where minor upgrades but still required me to pay almost full license fees. Lightroom haven't added substantial features since V3. Obviously you would not be doing such a thing would you? since it contravenes forum rules against commercial advertising.Ĭompare that to what Adobe adds to Lightroom when they release a "major version" and you'll see where the real ripoff takes place. You talk as if you have an interest in promoting Photo Supreme. ![]() This blog includes links to what was added in V3 Photo Supreme 3 adds a lot of features that more than justified the upgrade. Every main version upgrade of Lightroom has cost me a lot more than Photo Supreme major updates. They are no different than any other software. I'm not aware that any external DAM can pass images directly into Lightroom.Ībout upgrade prices. Plus the fact that you have to use the Lightroom Library in order to pass images in the LR Develop module anyway. ![]() I use Lightroom, which allows me to title, keyword, GPS tag and search my images.Ĭould you explain to me what features I'm "seriously lacking" compared to Photo Supreme? since I'm obviously a "rookie level" user of DAM features. But if you only need rookie level DAM features then it'll do. I am also using Lightroom, but only as an editor because it's DAM features are seriously lacking compared to something like Photo Supreme. ![]()
